A HYBRID Wireless Fire Detection System is one which utilises both a hard-wired fire detection System combined with 'clusters' of wireless detection. Normally the wireless sections of a system are introduced to overcome a specific site problem which prevents the use of traditional fire cable such as unwanted site disruption, expense or other technical impracticalities.
How the System Works:
The EKHO wireless system uses Translators & Expander units to transmit wireless signals from all devices [ Smoke Sensors, Call Points, Sounders , etc ] Each device carries its own address which will include which zone it is on and what the location within the premise it is. The control panel shows this information on a digital screen, so locating where a FIRE signal has come from is very easy.
Having this information, a staged evacuation can then easily be put in place, so all occupants can evacuate the building safely through the designated Fire Exits. This saves precious minutes for all persons involved .
